The project aims to develop a typology of coastal governance models in Mozambique and South Africa, and to assess their preparedness to effectively respond to the challenges of climate change. It will study the characteristics and expression of the various forms of coastal government and governance in these countries, and determine how they are responding to uncertainties resulting from climate change.
